In October 2024 we started a major refurbishment project at our main day services site and head office base in Bisterne, Ringwood, which is set in the beautiful and tranquil grounds of Bisterne Estate.
We have beautiful gardens which provide a wide range of outdoor activities for our service users, but our indoor spaces had been very neglected for many years and looked drab and outdated.

With the help and support from a wonderfully talented architect, Mike Worthington from People Architects, Pete Brooks and his amazing construction team from TMA Building Services Ltd, Lee Dunn from LDE Electrics and Scott Thompson from Prestige Fire & Security we now have a beautifully refurbished indoor space that is also now completely safe in terms of the electrical installation and fire safety system. There are still a few areas of work that need undertaking before the whole refurbishment is completed but we are almost there.

Our dedicated fundraising team has raised over £250K so far to support the work and the Trust’s Board of Trustees committed funds from our cash reserves to pay for the replacement of the ceilings, electric cabling and fire system that has provided an additional layer of fire safety for our residential living flat, which is situated above our day services spaces.
We are truly grateful to the following funders for their support:
- The Hospital Saturday Fund
- The Tendril Trust
- The Will Charitable Trust
- Hallam Mills, Bisterne Estate
- The Burry Charitable Trust
- The Mark Benevolent Fund
- Mrs Yvonne Flux Charitable Trust
