The Stables Day Services

The Stables Day Services

At The Stables, our Day Service in Bisterne, Ringwood we offer a wide range of opportunities designed to support people to develop and learn new skills, improve their confidence and knowledge, and build new friendships and support networks that help them to live more independent lives. Participating in meaningful activities and building positive
relationships supports positive mental wellbeing, which in turn has a positive impact on physical wellbeing. With access to beautiful outdoor spaces for leisure activities, our creative studios and our beautiful gardens where we grow and care for a wide range of plants, fruit and vegetables, The Stables offers something for everyone, all year round!

Championing Healthy Lifestyles!

We are dedicated to supporting people to lead healthier lifestyles by offering a wide range of daily physical activities to suit all levels of fitness.

On a weekly basis we offer a wide range of fitness and social activities on and off site, including walking, swimming, yoga, gym sessions, go –karting, Zumba, lawn sports, meditation and relaxation. We are constantly looking into new, enjoyable ways of keeping fit and healthy that benefit people in a holistic way, improving overall well–being and independence levels.

Therapeutic Activities to Support Good Mental Wellbeing

Everyone can benefit hugely from activities that support their mental wellbeing and we know that engaging with calming and relaxing therapeutic activities is proven to reduce anxiety and stress, improves concentration and helps people to feel happier within themselves.

Our therapeutic programme offers a wide range of creative activities and can cater for a wide range of support needs. The Stables has its own dedicated pottery room and kiln, where people are supported to create and decorate pots, plates, mugs and ornamental items, many of which we sell ibn our retail outlets. There is a dedicated woodwork studio with a lazer cutter, funded by a very generous donation from the J & M Family Trust, which enables us to support people to design and manufacture beautiful wood-based items, and we also have two dedicated arts and crafts studios where people can participate in numerous creative activities, including drawing and painting, block printing, mosaic work,

and needlecraft. Our team of instructors are very talented and creative, and support people to challenge themselves and find their inner creativity and expression, which has such a positive impact on their wellbeing. Discovering a talent for creating items from pottery, wood and other materials is one of the most amazing experiences for the people we support!
