Why Choose SFHT?

Because we need your support to help us continue to make a real difference to the lives of people with a learning disability. We provide unique opportunities for them to gain skills that develop greater independence and enable them to lead fulfilled lives – just as you and I hope to do. We can do so much more with your help.

We have the capacity to support over 130 people each week through our Aspire and Evolve Personal Development Programmes with learning opportunities including Health & Safety, money handling, till work and retail outlet experience at our shop, Gifted, in Highcliffe. We also provide IT workshops, CV compiling and much more.

Our supported living programme provides the opportunity for people to live as independently as they can but always with the assurance that there is support when needed. To be able to do your own shopping, cooking, washing and choosing how to spend your leisure time is something we all value and that is what we want for the people that we support.

We cannot provide this unique opportunity for people with a learning disability without financial support. By supporting us you will enable us to extend the range of opportunities that we can offer and reach more people who would benefit from the service we provide.

How can you help?

By working in partnership with The Stable Family Home Trust you will raise your organisation’s profile in the community because we organise a number of popular events that are well supported by local people. By sponsoring one of our events you will provide great PR opportunities for your organisation and will demonstrate that you are addressing your Corporate Social Responsibility. We will also promote your business by putting your logo and web link on our website.

You can support us by:

• Choosing SFHT as your Charity of the Year
• Encouraging your staff to volunteer or fundraise for us
• Providing work experience for someone with a learning disability
• Sponsoring an event, providing a raffle prize, make a donation
• Attending our events and encouraging others to join you
• Sponsoring our quarterly newsletter or other marketing materials

We are pleased to work in partnership with two wonderful charitable organisations; The Edward Gostling Foundation and The Talbot Village Trust, both of whom purchased a supported living houses on our behalf. These houses are now accommodated by clients who are thriving and enjoying their independent lives. The tremendous generosity of both organisations, both financially and in spirit, is greatly appreciated by SFHT and we look forward to many years of a continued working relationship with them.
