The learning disabilities of our clients are many and we promote and protect over 130 remarkable people and actively support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. We have three day services, Aspire, Evolve & Gifted and 54 of our clients reside in our nine supported living homes located in Southbourne and Christchurch and one residential home in Ringwood.

We are making a commitment to people who may depend on us for 10, 20, 30 years or more. Some of these individuals do not have families, so every celebration of their life – every birthday party, every Christmas present – will be our responsibility. This is the essence of our work.

Why we need funds

The support we receive from individual donors, groups and corporate businesses is essential in helping us to grow and maintain our services. 2021 was another challenging year due to on-going Covid restrictions, loss of flagship fundraising events and the temporary closure of our day services which only re-opened in June 2021. However, we rose to the occasion, made changes and are committed to doing so again this year with your help!

How you can get involved

Last year we held our very first online Silent Auction to raise vital funds for SFHT with the support and involvement of local celebrity Harry Redknapp which was a great success! We are absolutely delighted to announce we are holding this again on Saturday 14th May 2022 and there will be lots of amazing prizes up for grabs. These vital funds raised will go towards essential services and additional costs that keep building up within our organisation as well as equipment and activities to help clients’ mental health and well-being.

Donate an auction prize

We are looking for DONATIONS such as a prize, service or an experience that we can auction on our site? In exchange for donating a prize, your logo will be on our auction website (Gala Bid) along with a link to your website, inclusion in our auction brochure and a full mention from our professional compere which is streamed live on the night!

In order for your contribution to be included on our auction website, we would need to receive this before Friday 22nd April 2022. Friday 6th May – Open for Bids

The Real Deal….

Join us for the livestreamed auction from 7pm to 8.30pm on our SFHT Facebook page. Dress up or Dress Down…. Cup of tea or Glass of Bubbly! The evening will be hosted by Paul Kinvig whose job it is to increase the bids and get competition going between bidders, there will be live music on the night with a speech from our CEO, Colin Waters and a few videos of our services.
