Fundraising at the stable family home trust

How We Fundraise

We raise funds to continue our work through various means and welcome any kind of fundraising ideas and support with our fundraising events.

Events

We run several events each year to help raise money and promote what is available for people through our services. The events are always great fun, with something for everyone to enjoy, and they provide amazing opportunities for or service users to enjoy themselves with their friends and families, and meet new people.

You could organise an event to help our cause or contribute by getting involved in one of our own fundraising events.

If you’d like to assist with any of the above, please contact Tracey Hickford:

Corporate Support

If you are a business owner or work for a large company there are many ways that you can support us and this will help you meet your corporate social responsibility. You could:

  • Nominate us as your chosen Charity of the Year
  • Encourage your staff teams to raise funds through activities and events
  • Provide a ‘Team Day’ that enables your staff to come and help us with a specific activity, such as helping to decorate one of our houses, or helping us with a gardening project
  • Sponsor one of our events or donate a raffle or auction prize
  • Provide a work experience opportunity for one of our service users

Trusts and Foundations

We are also really fortunate to have received fantastic support from numerous grant-giving organisations, all of which helps us to continue providing our services, and develop new services to benefit people using our services.

We are particularly grateful to two wonderful charitable organisations The Edward Gostling Foundation and The Talbot Village Trust, both of whom have gifted supported living houses to us, where we now support more people to enjoy fulfilling and independent lives.

The tremendous generosity of both organisations, both financially and in spirit, is greatly appreciated and valued by the Trust and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them for many years to come.

We are also grateful to the following organisations for their funding support to enable us to buy a property on Southbourne High Street, which completed in April 2024, from where we run part of our day services programme, and run a shop where we sell many handcrafted items created by our service users.

→ The Bradbury Foundation

→ The J & M Family Foundation

→ The Bernard Sunley Foundation

→ The Geoff & Fiona Squire Foundation

→ The Alice Ellen Cooper-Dean Charitable Foundation

→ The Webb Family Foundation

→ Mrs Yvonne Flux Charitable Trust

→ The Oliver Ford Foundation

The UK Government’s Levelling Up Programme – The Community Ownership Fund – also contributed towards the purchase price.
