Volunteers

Volunteers are vital to our work and bring such diversity and vibrancy to our service delivery! Our service users love meeting new people and volunteering with the Trust will bring a whole new dimension to your life.

Volunteering is a hugely rewarding experience and offers you opportunities to use your skills and experience to support our service users, and our staff teams, to help them learn new skills and participate in new and exciting activities.

We have many different ways that you can volunteer:

→ Support our activity and therapeutic programme

→ Run workshops that give our service users to try new activities

→ Help out in one of our retail outlets – Gifted, our garden centre and café in Highcliffe, or Emporium@55 at The Bradbury Centre in Southbourne

→ Being an extra pair of hands on a day trip out – our service users love going to different places and you get to go along and enjoy these place too!

Volunteering is flexible and on your terms so you can volunteer at times that work for you and for as long as your are able. We have volunteers who support us a few hours each week and some who support us for a few days each week, so any time you can offer will be gratefully received. The friendship and gratitude that our service users will show you will live long in your memory!

You don’t need any qualifications or any previous experience of volunteering. All you need is a friendly approach, patience, understanding and a caring and kind nature. We will provide you with any training or awareness raising that will help you in your role as a volunteer.
